Árpád Virágh was born on January 12, 1888 in Budapest. He was a Hungarian Director of Photography, known for Der Geiger von Florenz (1926), Liebe (1926), Lola Montez, die Tänzerin des Königs (1922), Árpád Virágh's first movie on record is from 1915. Árpád Virágh died on May 31, 1930 in Capri. His last motion picture on file dates from 1930.
Biographical Notes in German: Kameramann des Ungarischen und Deutschen Stummfilms. nach Abschlus seiner Ausbildung in Wien bei Pathé, lange Reisen in Afrika und Amerika als "Filmreporter". Während des Ersten Weltkrieges Korrespondent verschiedener Zeitungen, dann nach dem Krieg als Kameramann in Berlin tätig. Viragh gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Kameramänner des deutschen Stummfilms und war auch in englischen Studios tätig.
