Biographical Notes in German: Schauspielerin des französischen Stummfilms, auch als Alexandresca genannt. Wahrscheinlich als Venera Alexandresco, um 1900-05 in Rumänien geboren. Im Herbst 1922 wird sie als Gewinnerin eines Schönheitswettbewerbs in Bukarest genannt, in Paris tritt sie in Operetten und Revuen auf, zum Jahresanfang wird ihr eine bevorstehende Heirat mit einem ägyptischen Prinzen nachgesagt. Möglicherweise ist sie mit Florica Alexandresco identisch, die 1922 unter der Regie von Luitz-Morat in "Le Sang d'Allah" spielte. Rex Ingram engagiert sie für die Rolle einer Ouled Nail in "The Arab". Photoplay bezeichnet sie als "a vivid Russian actress [who] makes her film debut in the colorful rôle of an Oulad Nile".
1924 wird ihre Reise nach Hollywood vermeldet, doch scheint sie in keinem amerikanischen Film aufgetreten sein. In den späten Zwanziger Jahren ist sie auf alle Fälle wieder zurück in Paris: Zeitungsberichte erwähnen sie und heben ihren Schmuck aus Diamanten und Perlen hervor. 1931 spielt sie eine weitere Filmrolle, den Vamp in Alessandro Blasettis "Resurrectio", diesmal als Venera Alexandrescu.
Im Januar 1932 stürmt eine Schauspielerin namens Florika oder Florida Alexandrescu die Bureaus der Brosser Bank in Bukarest, in der Absicht, den dortigen Bankdirektor zu töten. Sie hatte im vergangenen Sommer ihre Ersparnisse von $24.000 in dem Bankencrash verloren...
Danach verlieren sich die Spuren der mysteriösen Schönen aus Rumänien.
Die amerikanische Filmzeitschrift Motion Picture Classic schrieb in den Zwanziger Jahren ĂĽber sie: "Alexandresca - This interesting woman is considered a great beauty in her own country, Romania. By any standards she is fascinating. She lends atmosphere and color to Rex Ingram's picture "The Arab". Let us hope the screen will keep her." (lhg 2012)
