Horst Königstein was born on July 26, 1945 in Bremen. He was a German Director, Author, known for Hamburger Gift (1992), Hard days - hard nights (1989), Panische Zeiten (1980), Horst Königstein's first movie on record is from 1979. Horst Königstein died on May 12, 2013 in Hamburg. His last motion picture on file dates from 2008.
Biographical Notes in German: Autor und Dramaturg des deutschen Fernsehens, erst Redakteur bei Radio Bremen und später beim NDR. An an der Kunsthochschule für Medien in Köln wirkte er als Dozent. Bekannt geworden ist Königstein vor allem durch seine Zusammenarbeit mit Heinrich Breloer: gemeinsam realisierten sie u.a. die Fernsehfilme Die Manns – Ein Jahrhundertroman und das Doku-Drama Speer und Er.
