Biographical Notes in German: Autor und Dramaturg des deutschen Fernsehens, erst Redakteur bei Radio Bremen und später beim NDR. An an der Kunsthochschule für Medien in Köln wirkte er als Dozent. Bekannt geworden ist Königstein vor allem durch seine Zusammenarbeit mit Heinrich Breloer: gemeinsam realisierten sie u.a. die Fernsehfilme Die Manns – Ein Jahrhundertroman und das Doku-Drama Speer und Er.
