Biographical Notes in German: Trotz ihrer kurzen Karriere galt Alma Rubens als eine der schönsten Diven des amerikanischen Films, auch 'Die Lady mit den traurigen Augen' genannt. Ihre Karriere begann an der Seite von Douglas Fairbanks und wurde dann in William Randolph Hearst's Cosmopolitan Pictures zum Star. In ENEMIES OF WOMEN war sie Partnerin von Lionel Barrymore. Ihre Drogenabhängigkeit zu Morphium ruinierte ihre Gesundheit, und Alma Rubens starb 1931 in einer Klinik von Los Angeles.
