Olga Tschechowa was born on April 26, 1897 in Alexandropol, Kaukasus. She was a German Actress, known for Bel Ami (1939), Maskerade (1934), Rosen-Resli (1954), Olga Tschechowa's first movie on record is from 1917. Olga Tschechowa died on March 9, 1980 in Obermenzing bei München. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1974.
Biographical Notes in German: eigentlich Olga von Knipper, anfänglich Bildhauerin, Studium an der Moskauer Akademie. 1914 heiratete sie ihren Vetter Michael Tschechow, den Sohn von Anton Tschechow, durch ihn zum Schauspielunterricht. 1917 (??) geschieden. 1916 (??) Geburt ihrer Tochter Ada. Mitglied des Stanislawski-Theaters. Während der Revolution nach Deutschland, Berliner Tribüne unter der Regie von Tagger.
1930 Deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit.
