Lino Ventura was born on July 14, 1919 in Parma. He was a French Actor, known for Les Aventuriers (1966), Adieu, Poulet (1975), Maigret tend un piège (1957), Lino Ventura's first movie on record is from 1954. Lino Ventura died on October 22, 1987. His last motion picture on file dates from 1986.
Biographical Notes in German: Lino Ventura, mit bürgerlichem Namen Angelo Borrini, wurde am 14. Juli 1919 im italienischen Parma geboren, zehn Jahre später emigrierte seine Familie nach Frankreich. Später arbeitete er u.a. als Hoteljunge, Vertreter und Buchhalter, dann wurde er Profiringer, 1950 erkämpfte er sich sogar den Europameistertitel im Freistilringen. Ein Sportunfall beendete die Karriere. Jean Gabin war es, der ihn zur Schauspielerei ermunterte. Seine erste Rolle spielte er 1953 als schweigsamer Unterweltler im Krimidrama "Wenn es Nacht wird in Paris". Sein Typ - bullig und wortkarg - war gefragt, vorzugsweise spielte er Polizisten und Gangster. Mit Beginn der 1960er Jahre konnte er sein Rollenspektrum erheblich erweitern. In der Nachfolge von Jean Gabin wurde er zu einem der populärsten Schauspieler Frankreichs und Europas. Er begeisterte das Publikum mit Filmen wie "Die Abenteurer" (1966), "Armee im Schatten" (1969), "Der Clan der Sizilianer" (1969) oder "Die Filzlaus" (1973).
