Alla Tarasova was born on February 6, 1898 in Kiev. She was a Russian Actress, known for Raskolnikoff (1923), Kto ty takoj ? (1927), Dolgaja schastlivaja zhizn (1967), Alla Tarasova's first movie on record is from 1923. Alla Tarasova died on April 5, 1973 in Moskau. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1967.
Biographical Notes in German: Алла Константиновна Тарасова, Schauspielerin des russischen Theaters und Films, Schauspielstudium bei Nikolaj Massalitinov in Moskau, seit 1916 Mitglied des Moskauer Stanislavskij Theaters. Bei dessen Tournee in Westeuropa 1922-1924 spielt sie unter der Regie von Robert Wiene in der deutschen Produktion "Raskolnikoff". In New York verlässt sie die Truppe und versucht sich ohne Erfolg als Schauspielerin am Broadway, kehrt dann aber auf Drängen von Stanislavskij nach Moskau zurĂĽck.

1931 heiratet sie in zweiter Ehe den Schauspieler Ivan Moskvin und wird eine der führenden Schauspielerinnen der UdSSR, besonders in Theaterstücken von Maksim Gorkij und Anton Chekhov. Sie wird Stalins Lieblingsschauspielerin und erhält in den Jahren 1941 bis 1949 fünf mal den Stalin-Preis, zweimal erhält sie den Leninorden. Ihre berühmteste Rolle spielt sie 1937 in der Titelrolle von Anna Karenina, eine Inszenierung, die 1953 dann verfilmt wird.

Am 5. April 1973 stirbt sie in Moskau. (lhg 2010)
