Pedro Almodóvar was born on September 25, 1949 in Calzada de Calatrava (Ciudad Real). He is Director, Author, known for Hable con ella (2002), Que he hecho yo para merecer esto (1984), Tacones lejanos (1991), Pedro Almodóvar's first movie on record is from 1980. His last motion picture on file dates from 2011.
Biographical Notes in German: Pedro Almodóvar wurde 1949 in Calzada de Calatrava in der Mancha geboren. Er wuchs in der Extremadura auf, wo er eine Klosterschule besuchte. Nach dem Zusammenbruch des franquistischen Regimes begann er mit der Herstellung erster Kurzfilme und wurde schnell zum Star der Movida, der Madrider Untergrundkulturbewegung. Nach dem Erscheinen seines ersten Langfilms "Pepi, Luci, Bom und andere Mädchen aus der Clique" (1980) widmete er sich ausschließlich dem Filmen und ist heute der prominenteste spanische Regisseur. Unter anderem drehte er "Frauen am Rande des Nervenzusammenbruchs" (1987), "High Heels" (1991), "Kika" (1993), "Alles über meine Mutter" (1999) und "Sprich mit ihr" (2002). 2004 wird "La mala educación" erscheinen.
