Nora Gregor was born on February 3, 1901 in Görz. She was an Austrian Actress, known for Mikaël (1924), La règle du jeu (1939), Das Mädchen mit der Protektion (1925), Nora Gregor's first movie on record is from 1920. Nora Gregor died on January 20, 1949 in Vina del Mar, Chile. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1945.
Biographical Notes in German: Operettenstar, Theater- und Filmschauspielerin, geboren am 3. Februar in Görz, dem heutigen Gorizia. 1918 Theaterdebüt am Wiener Renauassancetheater, wechselte sie dann an das Raimundtheater. Erste Filmrollen in österreichischen Produktionen, gelang ihr in Carl Theodor Dreyers "Mikail" (1924) der Durchbruch. 1929/30 zu Max Reinhardt an das Wiener Theater in der Josefstadt und ans Deutsche Theater Berlin und erste Engagements in Hollywood. Nach der nationalsozialistischen Machtübernahme in Deutschland drehte Nora Gregor noch einen Film unter der Regie von Richard Oswald in Wien, in Wien blieb sie bis zu ihrer Flucht nach Südamerika. Ihr letzter bekannter Film sollte Jean Renoirs "La règle du jeu" werden, in Chile drehte sie dann 1945 noch "La fruta mordida".
1949 beging Nora Gregor Selbstmord. (lhg 2012)
