Guido Seeber was born on June 22, 1879 in Chemnitz. He was a German Director of Photography, known for Das wandernde Bild (1920), Bedingung: Kein Anhang (1914), Die freudlose Gasse (1925), Guido Seeber's first movie on record is from 1908. Guido Seeber died on July 2, 1940 in Berlin. His last motion picture on file dates from 1934.
Biographical Notes in German: Eigentlich Conrad-Guido Seeber, Sohn des Photographen Clemens Seeber, auch Trickfilmtechniker. Nach abgeschlossener Photographenlehre wird er sachlicher Leiter der Prüfungsstelle für Kino-Rohfilme der Fabrik von Dr. Schleussner in Frankfurt am Main. 1908-12 technischer Betriebsleiter der Deutschen Bioscop-Gesellschaft, aus der später die UFA hervorgeht. Als Kameramann seit 1911.
Gehört neben Fritz Arno Wagner, Karl Freund und Carl Hoffmann zu den bedeutendsten Kameramännern des deutschen Stummfilms. Bekannt geworden sind vor allem seine Arbeiten für Paul Wegener, Lupu Pick und G.W. Pabst.
