Spanischer Regisseur, Kameramann und Filmpionier, Geboren 1871 in Terguel, realisierte Segundo de Chomón bei Pathé über 150 Filme, berühmt geblieben sind seine farbenprächtigen und naiven Féeries, in welchen der Frauen in Blumen verwandelte. Als einer der ersten verwendete Segundo de Chomón in LA VIE ET PASSION DE JESUS-CHRISTO 1907 eine Kamerafahrt, des weiteren entdeckte oder verbesserte er verschiedene Tricks wie transparente Hintergründe, animierte Objekte oder Zeichnungen usf. CABIRIA von Giovanni Pastrone zählt zu seinen bedeutendsten Filmen als Kameramann.
