Biographical Notes
eigentlich Emil Kägi, in ärmlichen Verhältnissen aufgewachsen, Bankangestellter, Wirt, Kinoplatzanweiser. Als Laiendarsteller vom dem 2. Weltkrieg für Film ("Füsilier Wipf", 1938) und Cabaret ("Cornichon") entdeckt. In der Rolle des "Polizischt Wäckerli" 1949 durch die Radiofolgen zu einer helvetischen Institution geworden, 1963 wurden zehn Folgen fürs Fernsehen realisiert.
