Kleingewachsener und buckliger Schauspieler des amerikanischen Films, eigentlich Tufei Fatella, verliess 1911 Syrien und kam auf der Suche nach seiner Mutter und seinen Schwestern nach Amerika. Über Nashville, Tennessee, kam er nach Hollywood. John George spielte in mehreren Filmen von Rex Ingram mit, in The Unknown war er Partner von Lon Chaney.
