Synopsis in German
Baroness Teri (Kay Francis) ist schön und extravagant. Sie hat einen reichen Mann, einen abgelegten Liebhaber, der ihr immer noch nachstellt, und eine Schwäche für kostbare Juwelen. Als ihr Mann ihr wieder einmal einen teuren Diamantring kauft, geraten sie bei Juwelier Holländer (Lee Kohlmar) in einen sorgfältig geplanten Raubzug. Der elegante Bandenchef (William Powell) ist ein Mann von vollendeten Manieren und macht gepflegte Konversation, während er und seine Komplizen die Beute einsacken und von dem ahnungslosen Wachmann Lenz (Spencer Charters) auch noch in den bereitstehenden Fluchtwagen tragen lassen. Auf die schöne Baroness macht der geschniegelte Gentleman-Verbrecher einen solchen Eindruck, dass sie nur schwach protestiert, als er auch noch ihren neuen Ring einsteckt, bevor er sich mit den anderen absetzt.
Bald darauf taucht der Charmeur zu später Stunde wieder bei Teri auf und erweist sich nun in ihren Augen vollends als romantischer Ritter, denn er bringt ihr nicht nur den kostbaren Ring wieder, der elegante Räuber ist auch noch für weitere aufregende Überraschungen gut...... (ARD Presse)
