Synopsis in German
Zwei Bauern, Vater und Sohn, weigern sich, ein Stück Land zu verkaufen und machen dadurch eine großangelegte Grundstücksspekulation zunichte.
Das kleine, französische Dorf Cabosse genießt den Ruf, durch seine gesunde Luft das Lebensalter seiner Einwohner zu erhöhen. Das bringt den Geschäftemacher Victor Hardy auf eine Idee: Er startet eine breitangelegte Kampagne mit dem Motto "Warum in den Ballungszentren ersticken? Laßt uns Städte auf dem Lande bauen". Mit seinem Sekretär Fred und seinem Chauffeur Jules macht Hardy sich nach Cabosse auf, um die Dorfbewohner zu überreden, ihnen ihr gesamtes Land zu verkaufen. Sie setzen einen Kaufvertrag auf, und bald sind alle Einwohner bereit, zu unterzeichnen. Alle? (Pressetext Eins Plus)
