Synopsis in German
Fünf junge Leute haben sich in dem kleinstädtischen italienischen Badeort Pesaro an der Adria daran gewöhnt, ihre Tage mit Nichtstun zu verbringen. Sie liegen ihren Eltern und Verwandten auf der Tasche und schlagen die Zeit mit kindischen Reden und albernen Streichen tot. Alberto (Alberto Sordi) ist auf seine Mutter fixiert, Riccardo (Riccardo Fellini) pflegt seinen Bauch, Leopoldo (Leopoldo Trieste) fühlt sich als verkanntes Genie, Fausto (Franco Fabrizi) spielt den Don Juan. Als Fausto eines Tages Sandra (Leonora Ruffo), die Schwester von Moraldo (Franco Interlenghi), heiraten muss, weil sie ein Kind von ihm erwartet, sieht er sich gezwungen, eine Stellung anzunehmen. Nach wie vor ist er jedoch zum Leidwesen seiner jungen Frau auf Liebesabenteuer aus, und als er es auch bei der Frau seines Chefs versucht, fliegt er. So kann er wieder zu den anderen Tagedieben stoßen; ob eine Tracht Prügel, die ihm sein Vater schließlich verabfolgt, fruchten wird, bleibt offen.... (ARD Presse)
