Remarks and general Information in German: Der Film wurde im Winter 1919 gedreht, von den Zensurbehörden allerdings bis 1922 zurückgehalten. - Von den ursprünglich fünf Akten sind noch vier erhalten geblieben, die von den Cinémathèque française restaurierte Kopie (1994/2009) stammt ursprünglich von einer 1922 nach Quebec gelieferten russischen Kopie.
Als Kameramann wird oft auch Nikolaj Toporkov genannt. 1919 war Toporkov allerdings einer der Kameramänner, die den Feldzug der "weissen" Armee des Generals Wrangel gegen die Bolschewiken im russischen Bürgerkrieg begleiteten. Es ist wahrscheinlicher, dass Ermolieff in Paris die Equippe von Pathé beschäftigt, möglicherweise Mundviller als Kameramann.
