Synopsis in German
Die glamouröse Patricia (Joan Perry) ist überglücklich: Endlich hat sie mit dem charmanten und wohlhabenden Tony (Anthony Quinn) den Mann gefunden, der ihr den Lebensstil bieten kann, den sie sich wünscht. Außerdem scheint er hervorragende Kontakte zur High Society zu haben. Doch gleich ihr erster Auftritt in der "besseren Gesellschaft" endet damit, dass Tony die reichen Gastgeber um ihren gesamten Schmuck erleichtert. Patricia ist empört: So hat sie sich ihr Luxusleben nicht vorgestellt. Sie verlässt Tony, als er vor der Polizei fliehen muss, und wird von den Behörden als Komplizin angeklagt. Um nicht im Gefängnis zu landen, lässt sie sich auf einen Deal mit dem ehrgeizigen - und ziemlich frauenfeindlichen - Ermittler Mike O'Hara (Roger Pryor) ein. Sie soll für die Polizei den Lockvogel spielen, um den eifersüchtigen Tony in die Falle zu locken. Zunächst einmal lässt sich Patricia offiziell von ihrem räuberischen Ehemann scheiden, um gleich darauf medienwirksam O'Hara zu heiraten. Wie erhofft, ist Tony vor Eifersucht und Wut außer sich. Während er sich überlegt, wie er Patricia zurückgewinnen kann, liefern sich diese und ihr neuer Gatte O'Hara eine Eheschlacht nach der anderen... (ARD Presse)
