Synopsis in German
Eine deutsche Kleinstadt. Eckhart König ist ein normaler Streifenpolizist, dessen Lebensmittelpunkt seine 18-jährige Tochter Laura und seine Frau Marianne sind. Laura hat gerade Abitur gemacht. Eckhart ist beliebt, macht seine Arbeit mit routinierter Gründlichkeit und kümmert sich fürsorglich um die sportliche Aktivität seiner Tochter. Sie hat einen Freund namens Max, den sie den Eltern zunächst nicht vorstellen möchte. Die bürgerliche Idylle wird erschüttert, als Laura verhaftet wird. Sie wird ver-dächtigt, zusammen mit ihrem Freund Max zwei Polizisten getötet zu haben; einer der beiden war der engste Mitarbeiter Eckharts. Max ist flüchtig, Laura verweigert jede Aussage. Eckharts Leben wird zur Hölle. Er kämpft mit aller Gewalt gegen den Verdacht, dass seine Tochter Menschen getötet haben könnte. Der Gang zur Arbeit wird zum Spießrutenlauf. Lange verdrängtes Misstrauen kommt an die Oberfläche, zunehmende Zweifel stellen das ohnehin fragile Vertrauensverhältnis zwischen den Ehepartnern auf eine harte Probe. Obwohl Eckhart sich nach außen von der Unschuld seiner Tochter überzeugt gibt, beginnt er heimlich Nachforschungen über sie anzustellen. Er findet heraus, dass Laura nichts nachzuweisen ist, solange sie kein Geständnis ablegt. (DF Presse)
