Synopsis in German
Direktionsassistentin Franziska (Veronica Ferres) ist beruflich sehr erfolgreich. Mit ihrem manischen Karrierestreben will sie eine tragische Episode ihres Lebens verdrängen: Als 15-jährige Schülerin gab sie ihren Sohn gleich nach der Geburt zur Adoption frei. Dazu hatte sie ihr Vater (Johann Adam Oest), ein Apotheker und alkoholkranker Tyrann, gezwungen. Das uneheliche Kind konnte er mit seinen Moralvorstellungen nicht vereinbaren und pflanzte das üble Gerücht, Franziskas Teenagerliebe Thorsten (Thomas Sarbacher) habe sie vergewaltigt.
Jetzt, an ihrem 40. Geburtstag, bricht diese seelische Wunde wieder auf. Der Gedanke, ihren Sohn finden zu müssen, lässt Franziska nicht mehr los. Deshalb fährt sie nach Jahren in die ungeliebte Heimatstadt Rosenheim. Von dort aus gelingt es ihr, den inzwischen erwachsenen Mann (Kostja Ullmann) ausfindig zu machen: Oliver ist drogenabhängig und lebt in einem verfallenen Hinterhaus in München. Er will mit seiner leiblichen Mutter zunächst nichts zu tun haben. Doch Franziska beginnt, um ihren Sohn zu kämpfen. (ZDF Presse)
