Synopsis in German
Seit die freundliche Begrüßung durch seine Frau, die durch einen Unfall ums Leben kam, fehlt, schätzen viel zu wenig Gäste die exquisite Küche des Sternekochs Frank Drannemann und so steht das Restaurant "La Vie" vor dem Bankrott. Als Schwiegervater und Geschäftspartner Georg Krimmler den Maître de Cuisine dazu bewegen will, die kulinarischen Höhenflüge zu bremsen, damit mehr Gäste kommen, ist Frank in seiner Berufsehre gekränkt. Um den Bankrott abzuwenden, schließt Georg über Franks Kopf hinweg einen Vertrag mit der Reisegesellschaft "Gourmet-Tours" ab: Die smarte, hübsche Marlene Renner bucht das "La Vie" nun für Reisegruppen, die auf ihren Städtetouren lokale Gaumenfreuden genießen wollen.
Leider haben die hungrigen Touristen kein Verständnis dafür, dass man für Franks kulinarische Kreationen etwas mehr Zeit mitbringen muss. Und als Marlene obendrein noch das "La Vie" im Berliner Stil umdekoriert, ist das für Frank, der das Lokal als Vermächtnis seiner verstorbenen Frau betrachtet, ein Affront. Das Tischtuch scheint zerschnitten, doch als beiden endgültig das geschäftliche Aus droht, entdeckt Frank seine Liebe zu Marlene. (ARD Presse)
