Synopsis in German
Auf dem reichen Björndal-Hof herrscht der im Zorn masslose Bauer Dag. Er liebt seinen streitsüchtigen Sohn Tore über alles, während er seinem zweiten Sohn, dem besonnenen Dag, keine Beachtung schenkt.
Auch auf seinen verschuldeten Nachbarn, Herrn von Gall, ist der alte Dag nicht gut zu sprechen. Als Tore den Verlobten Elisabeths, von Galls Tochter, beleidigt, entbrennt zwischen ihnen ein Kampf auf Leben und Tod, in dem Tore unterliegt. Der Hass des alten Dag gegen von Gall steigert sich fast zum Wahnsinn.... (3Sat Presse)
