Synopsis in German
Der Gutsbesitzer Martin hat sich in die Sennerin Liesl verliebt, eine junge Frau aus einfachen Verhältnissen. Der wohlhabenden Wirtstochter Johanna ist diese Verbindung ein Dorn im Auge, ist sie doch fest entschlossen, Martin für sich zu gewinnen. Als Liesls unsteter Bruder Franz nach langer Zeit wieder auf der Alm auftaucht und bei seiner Schwester Unterschlupf sucht, nutzt Johanna die Gelegenheit, eine böse Intrige zu spinnen: Sie verbreitet das Gerücht, Liesl betrüge Martin mit einem heimlichen Liebhaber. Der Plan scheint aufzugehen: Von Eifersucht getrieben, beginnt Martin, seiner Braut nachzuspionieren ... (ARD Presse)
