Synopsis in German
Das Bürgermädchen Elena erweckt die Begierde der Männer, findet aber selbst nie die wahre Liebe: Zuerst wird sie vom Klavierlehrer verführt und dann aus dem Haus der Eltern verstossen. Dann gerät sie in die Hände eines mit dem Klavierlehrer befreundeten Musikers: Peter Karvan, der zuerst ihr Liebhaber und dann ihr Zuhälter wird. Sie kann sich allerdings losreissen und erhält eine Stellung als Erzieherin. Sie wird zur Liebhaberin ihres Arbeitgebers, und als dessen Frau stirbt, seine Gattin. Aber Karvan spürt sie auf und erpresst sie. Elenas Mann wirft beide hinaus, und Schliesslich verdienen sie ihren Lebensunterhalt in einem Tingeltangel. Dann erschiesst Elena Karvan und nimmt sich selbst das Leben. (www.filmportal.de)
