Synopsis in German
Verleger Van Stanhope hat in Whitey Wilson eine Sekretärin gefunden, um die man ihn beneiden muss. Die sympathische Blondine ist gescheit, sehr tüchtig, äußerst attraktiv und gibt dennoch Stanhopes junger Frau Linda nicht den geringsten Grund zur Eifersucht. Fatalerweise meint Stanhopes Mutter Mimi eines Tages dennoch, ihre Schwiegertochter vor Whitey warnen zu müssen. Der einmal geweckte Verdacht, Whitey sei für ihren Mann mehr als eine unersetzliche Sekretärin, findet in Lindas Augen rasch Nahrung. Schließlich ist sie überzeugt, die beiden auf einer Geschäftsreise in flagranti ertappt zu haben, als ihr bei einem nächtlichen Anruf im Hotel Whitey am Telefonapparat ihres Mannes antwortet. Trotz seiner Unschuldsbeteuerungen steht damit für Linda fest, dass er sie mit seiner Sekretärin betrügt, und sie will ihn verlassen. In dieser Situation ergreift Whitey, die mit ihrem Verlobten Dave ähnliche Probleme hat wie Linda mit ihrem Mann, einmal mehr die Initiative für ihren verehrten Chef... (ARD Presse)
