Synopsis in German
New York Mitte der 50er Jahre. Ein Kriegsheimkehrer lebt ein Doppelleben. Seine schwere und schmerzhafte Kriegsverletzung war im Lazarett mit Morphium behandelt worden. Als Heroinsüchtiger kehrte er aus dem Krieg zurück. Vergeblich versucht er, seine tägliche Jagd nach dem Schuss vor seiner jungen Frau, seinem Bruder und seinem Vater zu verbergen.
