Im Jahre 1820 kehrt Don Diego Vega aus Madrid in seine Heimat Kalifornien zurück. Hier hat Don Luis Quintero seinem Vater das Bürgermeisteramt entrissen und terrorisiert das Volk. Don Diego zeigt sich äußerlich unbeieindruckt. Nachts wird er aber zu Zorro, dem maskierten Helden, der die Ungerechtigkeiten Quinteros rächen will... (FOX Presse)

Sein Vater wurde vom spanischen Gouverneur entmachtet und das ehemals so glückliche Volk hat ebenfalls schwer unter der Tyrannei zu leiden. Verkleidet als Zorro nimmt er den Kampf gegen den Despoten auf. Er verteilt geraubte Steuergelder an die Not leidende Bevölkerung und verhilft seinem Vater wieder zu Macht.
