Synopsis in German
Jim und Robby arbeiten als Löwenwärter im Zirkus Central. Beide lieben die russische Kunstreiterin Marina, die sich als Einzige freiwillig meldet, als der alte Grimby seine neue Sensation vorstellt: die Todesschaukel. Widerstrebend erklärt Jim sich bereit, den Trick gemeinsam mit ihr aufzuführen. Robby ist am Boden dafür verantwortlich, genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt einen Hebel umzulegen. Jim und Marina werden die große Attraktion des Zirkus Central. Eines Tages stürzt Jim ab und wird zum Krüppel. Marina heiratet ihn aus Mitleid. Dennoch führen sie die Nummer weiter auf, mit vertauschten Rollen: Jetzt bedient Jim den Hebel, und Robby geht mit Marina aufs Trapez. Als die Beiden ein Liebespaar werden, fürchten sie Jims Rache. Der jedoch erfährt von der Affäre erst kurz vor ihrem letzten Auftritt. Marina verfehlt das Trapez und droht abzustürzen. Robby kann sie retten. Da erkennt Jim, dass er Marina verloren hat und wird wieder Löwenwärter. [www.filmportal.de]
