Synopsis in German
Deutschland zur Biedermeierzeit: Die bildhübsche Sängerin Christine Holm macht sich auf den Weg in die kleine Residenzstadt, um nach ihrem Vater zu suchen. Sie hat ihn nie gesehen, um seine Identität wird nur gemunkelt. An der Grenzstation hat der charmante Leutnant von Arnegg Dienst und verliebt sich sofort in Christine. Diese Liebe und Christines Suche nach dem Vater versetzen alle in Aufruhr. Auch der Landesherr wird in den Skandal involviert. Als für das alljährliche "kleine Hofkonzert" die Sängerin ausfällt, holt der Fürst Christine, die Verursacherin der moralischen Empörung, die er gerade ausweisen lassen wollte, als Ersatz zurück. Er muß feststellen, daß er noch tiefer in die Geschehnisse verwickelt ist, als er dachte. Doch er und Christine sorgen für eine diplomatische Lösung des Problems und für das fällige Happy-End.
