Synopsis in German
Der wohlhabende Graf Greven sollte eigentlich bester Laune sein, hat er doch gerade eine wundervolle Reise durch Indien hinter sich. Doch er ist seltsam melancholisch, fast ängstlich. Der Grund: Auf der Reise hat er eine Buddha-Statue gestohlen, für die er sich leidenschaftlich interessierte. Seither ist sein Leben bestimmt von der Furcht vor den Verfolgungen der indischen Priester.
Eines Tages hat er eine Vision, in der ihm mitgeteilt wird, dass er nur noch sieben Jahre zu leben habe und dass er durch die Hand der ihm liebsten Person sterben werde. Mit diesem Wissen lebt der Graf sein Leben in vollen Zügen, verschwendet sein Vermögen, gönnt sich jeden Luxus. Als die sieben Jahre um sind, wird er fast wahnsinnig vor Furcht. Er weiß, dass sein Tod kurz bevor steht. Schließlich erträgt er den Druck nicht mehr und begeht Selbstmord. (www.filmportal.de)
