André Polonski – ein virtuoser Pianist – war zuerst mit Mika, der Direktorin einer grossen Schweizer Schokoladenfabrik verheiratet, verliess diese dann aber, um zu Lisbeth zu gehen, mit der er einen gemeinsamen Sohn hat. Als Lisbeth bei einem Autounfall stirbt, kehrt er fast wie selbstverständlich wieder zu Mika zurück. Doch das Gleichgewicht der neu konstitutierten Familie gerät unversehens in Gefahr durch den Besuch von Jeanne – eine ebenfalls virtuose junge Pianistin. Auf der Suche nach ihren Wurzeln und einem Mentor versucht die junge Musikerin, sich dem Meister anzunähern. (Locarno Filmfestival)
