Eve, die Tocher des amerikanischen Reisbürokönigs Hoover, träumt von der grossen Karriere als Tänzerin. Ihr Vater vertraut da lieber seinen Millionen. Mit Freikarten und barem Geld besticht er Publikum und Kritiker. Als Eve ein Gespräch über ihre angeblich mittelmässige Begabung als Ballerina belauscht, nimmt sie Reissaus. In Wien, wo ihre berühmte Urgrosstante Fanny Elssler Furore gemacht hat, will sie ihr Talent ohne Protektion unter Beweis stellen. In dem Polizisten Peter findet sie dabei mehr als einen guten Freund. (ndr Presse)
