Remarks and general Information in German: «Mit seinem Film «Das Verlangen» gewann Iain Dilthey 2002 den Goldenen Leoparden. - Dieses Jahr thematisiert er das ambivalente Verhältnis zwischen Opfer und Täter. Eine Frau, die gegenüber eines Gefängnisses wohnt, beginnt via Blickaustausch, mit einem Inhaftierten zu flirten. Sie fühlt sich sicher aufgrund der Distanz, die sie von ihm trennt. Eines Tages entkommt der Gefangene und findet ausgerechnet in ihrer Wohnung Zuflucht. Zwischen den beiden entsteht eine ambivalente Beziehung, gespalten zwischen Angst und uneingestandenen Sehnsüchten. Als sie von der Polizei entdeckt werden, beschliesst die Frau, alles zurückzulassen und dem Gefangenen in ein neues Leben zu folgen.» (Locarno 2006)
