Der erste dänische Film in der Länge von drei Akten. Der grosse Erfolg dieses Films veranlasste die Nordisk, ihn Einstellung für Einstellung zu kopieren. Der Plagiatsprozess wurde zwar gütlich beigelegt, aber die Nordisk konnte mit ihrem Plagiat einen internationalen Erfolg landen, dem eine Reihe weitere Hits über den "weissen Sklavenhandel" folgte.
