Remarks and general Information in German: «Diese Produktion, einer der letzten österreichischen Stummfilme, entstand unter der Regie von Conrad Wiene, gedreht wurde im Schönbrunn-Atelier. Erzählt wird die Geschichte einer Prostituierten, die ihren mittellosen Jugendfreund unterstützt, damit er seine Erfindung lancieren kann. Jahrelang galt diese Arbeit mit dem viel versprechenden Titel als verloren. 1999 wurde der Film im Nederlands Filmmuseum Amsterdam wieder aufgefunden. Nach der Repatriierung des fragmentarisch überlieferten Nitro-Materials erfolgte 2002 die Restaurierung und Umkopierung durch das Filmarchiv Austria. » (filmarchiv austria)
