Reviews in German: Wenn Max Linder an der Rivera weilt, geht es nie ohne lustige Intermezzi ab. Diesmal hat er seine kinematographierten Eulenspiegel-Streiche unter dem Titel: "Max in Monaco" gesammelt und alles übrige getan, um ein vollgerüttelt Mass von Trickaufnahmen dem sich wundernden Laien vorzuführen. Was er alles tut, was er eigentlich in einem saubern Strandanzug nicht tun soll! Mir verschlägt's die Red' - sagt der Wiener - es auf dem Papier wiederzugeben! Er leert eine Flasche Whisky auf einen Zug, plumpst ins Wasser - aber sehr! - klettert an einer bindfadenartigen Strickleiter auf eine Yacht, turnt über und durch das Steuerruder, macht die Mannschaft rebellisch, fliegt buchstäblich seinem von einem Windstoss fortgeführten Hut nach, verschwindet in einem Heissluftabzug, kommt mit affenartiger Behendigkeit wieder zum Vorschein, protzt eine Schiffskanone los - - ach, es ist genug!
