Synopsis in German
Schwarzwald, 1953: Elly Seitz hat endlich ihr Ziel erreicht, als sie zur Aufsichtsratsvorsitzenden der Seitz AG, einem holzverarbeitenden, mittelständischen Unternehmen gewählt wird. Jahrelang hatte sie darauf hingearbeitet, den traditionsreichen Betrieb ihrer Familie zu leiten. Doch das Glück währt nicht lange. Noch während der Ernennungssitzung wird Elly von Kriminalkommissar Fröbe verhaftet, da ein anonymer Anrufer sie des Mordes an ihrem Mann Alfred Brauer, im Jahre 1944, beschuldigt. In einer langen Vernehmung will Fröbe ein Geständnis von Elly erzwingen und Licht ins Dunkel der Geschehnisse der Vergangenheit bringen. Dabei treiben ihn anscheinend auch ganz persönliche Motive an. Angesichts der bohrenden Fragen in der Vernehmung blickt Elly zurück auf ihr Leben. Ein Leben, das von einer grossen Liebe und schrecklichen Verlusten geprägt ist. Ein Leben im Kampf für das Unternehmen und die Anerkennung ihrer Familie. (Pressetext)
